Great Things are Happening in BYU-Pathway

These new features will enhance the Pathway experience

If you’ve been involved with PathwayConnect for more than a semester, you’ve probably noticed a few changes in the look and feel of our online communications. We have been working hard to provide brand-new services that we feel will enhance your PathwayConnect experience. We are excited to announce these new features that will be available in 2014!

For starters, we already have in place a new color scheme and logos.

These are the new logos and colors that BYU-Pathway will feature in our communications.

One purpose for the new colors and logos is to serve as a recognizable identity for our program as a partnership with BYU-Idaho. While we are partnered with the university, PathwayConnect is only one of the many functions of all that BYU-Idaho offers. These new colors and the logos will give our program a greater sense of recognition and visibility to those who are currently involved with or are interested in starting PathwayConnect.

“We wanted to create a color palette that would be hopeful, bright, and inviting. These are all aspects that embody what we are striving to accomplish with PathwayConnect. The students are taking an important, and sometimes daunting, step that can lead to a brighter and more successful future. We feel that these colors help symbolize a bright beginning of great things to come,” said Angie Steggell, lead graphic designer at BYU-Pathway.

Moving forward, you will see the new colors and logos in student and missionary update emails, the BYU-Pathway Newsletter, our social media platforms, official communications from BYU-Pathway, and our new website that will launch in the future

This homepage will feature an easy-to-navigate design with our new logos and color scheme.

Once released, the new website will be the main source of BYU-Pathway information. Also, the site will be housed under the lds.org domain rather than the BYU-Idaho web systems. This change will allow us to be as nimble and streamlined as possible to provide a more effective PathwayConnect experience. We are grateful for all of the support we receive from BYU-Idaho and look forward to our continued partnership as we transition into this new website system.

The site will include information on how PathwayConnect works, admission requirements, information on cost, tuition calculation, and an extensive FAQ page. The site will also contain information for priesthood leaders on how to effectively utilize PathwayConnect in their ministry. Our various social media will also be linked to the site, as well as links to PathwayConnect Support.

We feel that these colors help symbolize a bright beginning of great things to come.

PathwayConnect Speaking Partners will also have a section on the site which will contain great information for English language learners and their speaking partners. Information is also available for those interested in becoming a speaking partner.     

With the new application process, finding a site and applying will be easier than ever.

Along with the new website, a new PathwayConnect application system will also be introduced. This system will streamline the application process of PathwayConnect, helping those who are interested in joining locate a site, apply, and start much easier than before. A new system for missionaries to track their students’ progress will also be included.
