Meet Joseph Sybrowsky

New area manager to oversee Pathway in North America Northwest

As a new area manager, Joseph Sybrowsky is now responsible for overseeing the development of BYU-Pathway in the North America Northwest area of the Church — including several U.S. states (Oregon, Washington, and Alaska) and British Columbia, Canada.Sybrowsky Family

Joseph, while attending Brigham Young University-Hawaii, would regularly run long distances in the Hawaiian mountains. He would find fruit, waterfalls, and adventure, enjoying them along with dating and eventually marrying his college sweetheart, Shauna. Joseph would later graduate with a degree in international business and secure a career as a general manager for the Marriott hotel industry. Joseph and Shauna have celebrated nearly 10 years of a rich and happy marriage and find joy in their three children: Jackson (7), Joseph (4), and Lily (2).

Through trials that shaped his testimony of Jesus Christ at a very young age, Joseph was led to seek for further confirmations of the gospel. His vibrant testimony of prayer, charity, and many other aspects of Christ’s teachings were solidified throughout his teenage years and his mission to Sao Paulo, Brazil. With his testimony expanding every day, Joseph now seeks to perpetuate the positive, life-changing, eternal effects of living the gospel.

After a strong confirmation from the Spirit, Joseph and his wife made the decision to leave his job in the hotel industry and start a career at BYU-Pathway.

He said, “I think that our results and experiences as employees of BYU-Pathway will be just as fulfilling and enriching as those of the students. We are just as involved in the changing process as they are.”
