Remember the story of Joseph in Egypt? In his life, he went from being a slave to a powerful chancellor over a massive kingdom. He was a young brother of a huge family but eventually became heir to the Abrahamic covenant and a prophet. So, how did he go from his lowly station to being one of the greatest men of the Bible?

The scriptures tell us that “the Lord was with him, and that which he did, the Lord made it to prosper.” 1 The Lord was with Joseph when he was in the pit, when he was a slave, and when he was in prison. Because the Lord was with him, He brought him out of his poor circumstances so that he could bless those around him, saving an entire nation from starvation and preserving his family. You can receive these same blessings. You can have the Lord at your side to strengthen and bless you as you achieve your dreams and bless your family. He has said, “I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts.” 2

Stay worthy, keep the faith, and work hard. The Lord will be with you.
