Continue in Patience

These five gospel quotes will strengthen your ability to endure to the end

PATIENCE: noun. The capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.

See also: hope, diligence, endurance, perseverance, persistence, tolerance.

Patience is a key as we strive to overcome our weaknesses and trials in this life. As we encounter difficult circumstances, patience helps us endure. As we try to repent and change, patience helps us forgive ourselves. As we work with others, patience allows us to develop charity for them, overlooking their imperfections just as they overlook ours. And as we learn and grow, patience helps us hold tightly to the hope that someday we will be blessed for our efforts.

Here are five quotes that can help you find patience in the gospel.

“If you are on the right path, it will always be uphill. The Lord is anxious to lead us to the safety of higher ground.”

President Henry B. Eyring

Quote

“In moments of fear or doubt or troubling times, hold the ground you have already won, even if that ground is limited.”

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

“Imperfect people are all God has ever had to work with. That must be terribly frustrating to Him, but he deals with it. So should we.”
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
