Meet Gabriel Chard

BYU-Pathway introduces the newest international area manager

Gabriel and his three sons

Gabriel Chard has recently accepted the position as the new international area manager for the South America South and Caribbean areas.

Born to an Argentine mother and an American father, Gabriel was raised in Morgan, Utah. He served a Spanish-speaking mission in Vancouver, Canada, from 2000–2002. He graduated from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, with a BA in English and earned a MPA from BYU’s Marriott School of Business.

Like his father, Gabriel met and married a young woman from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He and Marcela are the proud parents of three boys, Samuel (14), Mason (11), and Jacob (8).

Previously, Gabriel worked as a manager at Deseret Industries. He is a skilled leader and relationship manager, and he is very passionate about helping individuals overcome barriers to their success.

In his free time, Gabriel can often be found cooking asados, watching futbol, skiing, preaching the gospel, working on family history, writing, and traveling.
