How has your experience with BYU-Pathway Worldwide impacted your life? Or, if you are just getting started, why is getting an education important to you? Education is an investment that changes lives, so invite a friend to join with you!

Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf said, “My dear friends, take advantage of this opportunity to prayerfully invite someone you know to come and see by joining BYU-Pathway Worldwide for this coming semester.” 1

By extending the invitation to start BYU-Pathway, you are opening doors of opportunity for your friends. Try sharing BYU-Pathway with your loved ones with one of these five simple tips!

Speak to them personally

Nothing is better than getting a personal text or call from a close friend or family member. After considering which of your loved ones could benefit from higher education, reach out to them and share your experience. Be sure to share the ways BYU-Pathway has blessed you, or what you’re most excited about, if you haven’t started yet.

Savannah Goodman, a PathwayConnect student, decided to invite her friend Ashlynn to start BYU-Pathway with her. Savannah has never regretted this decision. She said, “Ashlynn comes over now and we work on homework. It is great! I have a set time to do my classes, and I don’t put it off.”

Having a friend by your side can motivate you to stay productive and accountable. Speaking personally to a friend about joining BYU-Pathway could be the start of your successful educational journey together.

Post on social media

Posting on social media is a great way to reach many of your friends at once! These resources make sharing on Facebook and Instagram easy. You can choose from a variety of images and videos to send to a specific friend or to post on your personal profile. Remember to tag @BYUPathwayWorldwide when posting.

Talk about what you are learning

Sometimes friends and family may need some time before deciding to take the step to begin or return to their education. A good, straightforward way to encourage your loved ones is to talk about what you are learning. When they see how much you are learning and how it is improving your life, they will be more likely to start on their own educational path.

Invite them to your gathering

Every term during Week 2, students are encouraged to invite a friend or family member to their gathering. If you know someone who has wanted to learn more about what you are experiencing in BYU-Pathway, this is the perfect time to invite them to learn more!
