“My entire family was anxious about joining PathwayConnect, but with the motivation from each other, we were all thrilled to take advantage of the opportunity together! I am grateful that my two siblings, brother-in-law, and husband successfully completed the first chapter of their journey, each growing in their own way:
"My younger sister wanted to gain higher education to be a role model to her son and eventually overcame her fear of public speaking!
"My other sister held multiple church callings and worked both full and part-time jobs but was able to balance her time and still be involved in BYU-Pathway.
"My brother-in-law overcame trials like battling his son's case of malaria three times and losing both his brother and father during the semester. He is a great influence because despite the burdens he had to take on, he kept running the race.
"Ultimately, it is empowering and uplifting to continue onto higher learning, and it is through hard work, patience, and endurance that we will succeed. All by working together to our common goals one step at a time. My hope and dream is that our children will lead by our examples to further their own education but this is only the beginning of our journey. We will continue to pursue further because although it is hard, it will all be rewarding."

School can be hard, but the Lord is there to help. You don't have to do this alone! Turn to Him. He will always strengthen and support you in your times of need.
"Never assume that you can make it alone. You need the help of the Lord. Never hesitate to get on your knees in some private place and speak with Him."

"In 2016, the CEO of the medical group for which I work as a health center manager, asked all of the managers to have a bachelor’s degree in either healthcare administration or public health. He told us that if we wanted to keep our positions, we would need to earn our degree.
"But at the same time, my husband had to close his Chiropractic practice of 20 years because he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and was seeing the debilitating effects of the disease. We prayed to know what to do because we could not afford for me to leave work, after 30 years, for school.
"Then a miracle occurred in the summer of 2016. My husband saw a flyer at church about BYU-Pathway. We discussed the possibility of me being able to earn my degree, so we made an appointment with our local BYU-Pathway service missionaries.
"I attended PathwayConnect at our local institute building and then matriculated into taking online classes in 2017. The Lord miraculously stretched time as I attended school full-time while still working full-time as the manager and director of a clinical program. In 2018, I earned my associate degree.
"On July 22, 2020, at 50 years of age, I am receiving my bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration! I never had to stop working, it made school affordable without loans, and I gained incredible spiritual growth. The Lord has blessed our lives through BYU-Pathway!"
