"When I saw a presentation on BYU-Pathway Worldwide, I was inspired. I had just finished my marketing bachelor's degree at a local university, but I see myself accomplishing unique goals and continuing my learning. So, I talked to my husband about my promptings, then convinced him to continue his education through BYU-Pathway as well.
"We enrolled while we still had a newborn baby. The beginning was hard. I had a difficult time understanding assignments and felt so discouraged. It was decisive time for me. Instead of giving up, I decided to continue and make efforts in the language.
"During this seven-year adventure, we had two more babies. I had to learn to manage motherhood, classes, callings, and more, but I was able to do it with faith in God and my family's support.
"This past week I completed my Associate’s Degree in Professional Studies and my husband completed his bachelor's degree. I am a different person now. I gained trust in myself and my understanding of the gospel grew through this time.
"My advice is to believe in ourselves and make our best effort no matter how ordinary we feel, no matter our trials."

"Coming home after my mission, my spiritual status was higher than ever. It was hard to be home again because I felt I was losing my connection with Heavenly Father. Then I heard about BYU-Pathway and I was amazed. What inspired me was the combination of foundational academic and religion courses. I learned English during my time as a missionary, however, BYU-Pathway gave me the opportunity to expand and perfect the language. I learned about spiritual self-reliance to support me in the hard trials of life and the secular things I learned helped me get new job offers, which was a great blessing for me.
"BYU-Pathway was an absolutely life-changing experience, both educationally and spiritually. It helped me keep the connection with God that I had established during my experience as a missionary. BYU-Pathway is set up in a way that I was able to use my time wisely, accomplish my short-term goals, and work towards the long-term goals while giving me motivation and purpose in life. I have met amazing friends and connected with others students all around the world to exchange ideas.
"Because I took the step, trusted in the Lord, and joined PathwayConnect—I finished it. I changed myself for the better, and now I have been admitted to BYU-Idaho as an online student! I know this will bring new challenges, but I’m ready now."
